Reflections from May 1

The good news:“No obvious fracture” Oh my goodness am I grateful to y’all.

The “FBHPF” you’ve contributed to has come in very handy! Yesterday I fell down, NOT while hiking, just in Damascus to resupply for the next section, in just the right way to cause a good bit of discomfort and concern. I took some anti inflammatories and went to bed, hoping it would be better by morning. Nope! It was swollen and ouchy, so I got shuttled (by a super lovely driver) over to Abingdon, VA where I was seen by a kind, caring, and thorough team. X-ray says…. ”no obvious fracture” So yay! They did say that I’ll need a follow up X-ray in a couple weeks, but I can go ahead and hike! Maybe I’ll catch up to SB and the V in a few days.
 1. Your “future broken hiking pole fund” gifts have been invaluable with the extra expenses this oopsie has caused.
 2. So THANK YOU! #at2025 #supportlivingartists #oops
